Overview of Explosive-Related Injuries
The Center for Disease Control has begun to put together information for doctors to use if they are required to treat patients who have been subjected to explosive blasts. The information that follows is a summary table they have prepared.
They have determined that bombs and explosions cause unique patterns of injury that is seldom seen outside of military combat. In order for U.S. physicians to be more prepared this table has been prepared to assist doctors to understand the unique pathophysiology associated with injuries caused by explosions.
